Cinemagraph

 

1. What was your overall concept and did you succeed in crafting the cinemagraph the way you intended?

The overall concept was to capture the water fountain continuously flowing and we were successful. 

2. What do you like about your project?

I like how Bryces' foot is not moving and its just the stream in motion.


3. What would you have done differently when creating your cinemagraph?

We could have initially cropped the video from the middle so the cinemagraph does not restart the flow of water every time it loops.


4. What would have made this project easier to understand or create?

The camera was acting up while we were taking the video so a better understanding on how to fix and use the camera would have been beneficial.

  What worked well? Taking the images worked well and we got the camera to focus on our focal point and the background was blurry. How did you edit your image? I opened photoshop and went to camera raw filter and did the auto setting and played around with the other settings to make the image appear better. What was your aperture set at? 5.0 How was your depth of field? (Shallow, Deep, In-between) Our depth of field was very shallow because the background was directly behind the object in focus.

Monochromatic Warm Colors     Cool Colors Neutral Colors Thematic 1. What was your favorite image and why?      My favorite image is the Thematic image because I love the vibrant colors and I added saturation to make the colors pop even more. 2. How is the lighting in your favorite image (direct, diffused, etc.)?      The lighting in the background is dark which kind of makes the colors pop even more because of the contrast with the dark background and the bright colors. 3. What worked well while photographing?      One thing that worked well was the focus on all the images and we changed the aperture every picture to make the depth of field perfect.  4. What would you have done differently?      One thing I would have done differently is the organization of some of the images and placed the objects in different order to make the image appear better. 5.
